About Steven & Tara
STEVEN PRICE is a garlic farmer and local business owner of River Lea Farm. He is a retired pharmaceutical executive who managed massive departments and multi-million dollar budgets. Steven was elected in 2024 as a Republican Committee Member for Branchburg District 6 (South Branch), toppling two incumbents. He resides on his South Branch Road farm with his wife and daughter.
TARA MURPHY is a financial tech professional, disabilities advocate, and the former Vice Chair of the Somerset County Advisory Council on Disability Issues (ACODI). She previously volunteered for the Statewide Parent Advocacy Network (SPAN) NJ and Autism Speaks. A proud Libertarian Republican, she resides in North Branch with her husband and two children.
“We’re concerned about the way Branchburg is being governed. Commercial development is out of control. Traffic, pollution, and noise put more stress on residents as individual rights are crushed by corporate interests. Meanwhile, our taxes increased 7.4% in 2024, and the Township Committee is now looking to spend up to $20 million to remodel the Municipal Complex. Everywhere we go, Branchburg Republicans tell us they don't feel represented by the incumbents and are looking for new leaders who will fight for them."
